A Super Swift Outcome

KDPA are delighted to have had the opportunity to work in partnership with two wonderful local charities; Wild Marlow and Bisham Nest Box Group BNBG.  At this site in Marlow it became apparent that in addition to converting the existing building into a public house/restaurant, we also needed to preserve and enhance biodiversity in the local area.  BNBG are a group of volunteers that make and install nest boxes for a small donation.
Wild Marlow advised on the type of bird boxes that would be most beneficial for the local habitat as well as locations to suit each species. They also advised on how to establish a supportive environment in our beer garden to provide pollinator pit-stops for insects to provide a food source for the birds. Following the installation of bat and swift nesting boxes, a group of swifts even made an appearance to inspect their new potential home on route to Africa.
