Behind the scenes at kdpa

Meet Andy.

Andy is responsible for ensuring that the large variety of items required for each project are ordered and delivered on time. His hard work behind the scenes is essential to the success of our projects.

Andrew is married and lives in Steyning, West Sussex.

He is the author of Flickin’ Wardy to Wembley, Does Everyone Stare The Way I Do? and Every Little Thing She Does… All books are available in kindle and paperback formats through Amazon publishing.

Flickin’ Wardy to Wembley:

Teenager Callum O’ Brien has the jitters.

He has the jitters about school, about his parents’ constant arguments and about his cocky, flash mate Barry. And he most definitely has the jitters about the gorgeous new girl next door.

Callum has the jitters about his Grandad’s health, his Dad’s job and his Mum’s flirtation with a hunky neighbour. He even has the jitters about his taste in Music and his choice of bedroom wall posters. Sometimes he doesn’t he even know what he has the jitters about, he only knows he does.

And things are getting worse by the day. Callum now has the jitters about going to watch his beloved Brighton and Hove Albion – hell, he even has jitters about leaving the house!

The only thing that really keeps these dreaded feelings at bay is playing table football in his Grandad’s garage, and thereby ensuring that his hero, Peter ‘Wardy’ Ward reaches the FA Cup Final; even if it is only on the Subbuteo table.

We are back!

As we will ultimately begin transitioning back to our offices, it is wise to begin thinking about this procedure beforehand. How can we all return to work as pleasantly and safely as possible? The key issues are of course safety, hygiene, health, agreements, and protocols, as well as getting accustomed to new realities, being reunited with colleagues, and meeting new ones.

With a focus on employee journeys and happiness at work, here is an overview of what we can do as an employee, a team, and as management.

New project in Waterford

We are delighted to be involved in the design of this project for the Waterford.

The inspiration behind the design of this pub comes from both the distinctive building constructed in the late 90s and the two Georgian townhouses it will be housed in.

In the 90s, the prevailing art and design movement was Postmodernism, which borrows styles from other eras and rebels against the minimalist concepts of modern design. This will be the premise of the entire design. Georgian details will be prevalent throughout the pub, paired with bold colours, contemporary fabrics and marbles.

The Packet Station, Falmouth

With spring around the corner, the aspiration to eat outdoors is getting stronger by the day. After months spent cooped up inside and abiding by lockdown restrictions, diners across the country are eager to get outside.
Whilst the hospitality sector is beginning to reopen our outside areas in the week commencing 12th April, kdpa is pleased to announce that planning approval has been granted for the proposed rooftop for the Falmouth pub, The Packet Station. The design for the roof garden, while protected on four sides from the elements has additional heating at the tables with plenty of seating for comfortable social distancing and offers guests al fresco dining experience that they may have been craving for a while.
